News outlets in Tennessee cite a statement from the airline that says the Monday night flight was redirected to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport because a cockpit instrument indicated one of the flaps might not have fully extended.

'Guess that makes me an airplane crash survivor'.

Southwest confirmed an incident to USA TODAY's Today in the Sky blog, saying that there were no injuries to any of the 172 passengers.

Southwest Airlines posted this response: "Glad to hear everyone made it safely to BWI".

Yankees, Red Sox to play twice in London in 2019
The Red Sox will be the home team for the two-game series, the first Major League Baseball games to be played in Europe. Manfred said: "We are bringing you one of the best rivalries in baseball".

No passengers were injured. "We will do our best to get you going asap". The circumstances that led to the accident is not yet known.

Neither the airline nor the airport has released any further details.

The airline then bussed all 103 passengers to Love Field and offered them a "gesture of goodwill" for the inconvenience. One of the engines of the plane exploded, causing a piece of shrapnel to smash one of the windows of the jet. She later died at the hospital after the incident.

The aircraft was pulling into its gate at the airport shortly before 1 a.m. on Monday morning when the ground vehicle slammed into the side of the plane.
