Avengers: Infinity War Exceeds Expectations After Opening in China

Avengers: Infinity War sees the superhero clique come together to combat the deadly threat posed by supervillain Thanos. We were anticipating a little more out of this title, but it still managed to outperform the studio's expectations and almost triple its reported $6 million budget in its first three days of release.

Additionally, Breaking In opened in five worldwide markets this weekend with an estimated $1 million, including a fifth place finish in the United Kingdom with an estimated $609k. That makes it the second-fastest title ever to cross the $500 million mark domestically. Tammy, debuted to $21.6 million in summer 2014, while The Boss, opened to $23.6 million in April 2016.

Paramount's Book Club and Global Road's Show Dogs also enter theaters next Friday.

Disney CEO Robert Iger told investors (via Entertainment Weekly) that: "We meet on a regular basis with our Marvel team, and we've plotted out Marvel movies that will take us well into the next decade".
