What time does the 2018 NBA Draft Lottery start?

Teams that missed the playoffs will learn their standing in the draft order Tuesday night, as team representatives will gather in Chicago for the annual NBA Draft Lottery.

Many teams this season elected to play for the best chance at a high draft pick (meaning they tanked as hard as they could), so it was crowded at the top. or should we say the bottom?

For example, if the New York Knicks are shown at No. 9 followed by the Sacramento Kings at No. 8, then you know that (a) the Kings got the raw end of the lottery deal and (b) the Cleveland Cavaliers moved into the top three of the National Basketball Association draft. It feels far too unfair to add another pick to Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Terry Rozier and Marcus Smart, who were all drafted as a part of this core. If it's No. 1 or it doesn't rise, the Philadelphia 76ers will have the pick.

Figure out how to watch the draft lottery below. (And some people know the results, this isn't a Schrodinger's lottery ball situation.) But while Dan Gilbert's kid remains the gold standard (back-to-back wins, although one was Anthony Bennett) the Orlando Magic are a strong contender this year, especially if you're a 90s kid. Doncic would also be a nice fit next to Devin Booker in a league where every team wants multiple playmakers on the court at all times. They have not had the No. 1 pick since. However, those times seem to be behind the Knicks, as they have all of their first round selections for the foreseeable future.

At that point, both teams will be on pins and needles hoping the selection falls on the right number. Frank Ntilikina, the No. 8 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, has the tools to become a two-way player once he develops.

"Oh, it's really cool", head coach Tyronn Lue said on Tuesday before the team's practice.
