Senate condemns Israeli atrocities, shifting of United States embassy to Jerusalem

On Monday, worldwide media, quoting the Gaza Health Ministry, said at least 58 people were shot dead by Israeli forces and about 1,113 injured during demonstrations against the embassy relocation as Palestinians prepared to mark 70 years since the Nakba, or catastrophe - the day on which the state of Israel was established on May 15, 1948.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel showed understanding for Israel's security interests in a call with Mr Netanyahu, but stressed that the violence should not be a means to achieving political goals, her spokesman Steffen Seibert said. "I suggest he not preach morality to us".

Yildirim said after Friday's summit a giant rally would be held at the vast Yenikapi meeting area in Istanbul under the slogan of "Stop the Oppression" to express solidarity with the Palestinians.

Violent demonstrations have erupted across Israel and the Palestinian territories as the USA officially moved its embassy from Tel Aviv to the disputed city of Jerusalem, which Palestinians also claim as their capital.

Gaza was calmer on Tuesday, which for Palestinians marks what they refer to as "Nakba Day" - marking what they call the "catastrophe" of their expulsion when Israel was created 70 years ago. It was the highest Palestinian single-day death toll since the 2014 Gaza war. "These demonstrations are nothing new", Nauert said.

Israel has blamed Hamas for the deadly violence, saying the terror group encouraged and led the protests, which included attacks on Israeli troops and attempts to breach the border fence.

In Brussels, Prime Minister Charles Michel called the Israeli actions "unacceptable violence" and said there was a "clear lack of proportionality".

In Syria killed more than two dozen foreign fighters
To prove this, Lyamin cites as an example loss of an Israeli F-16 fighter jet in one of previous Israeli strikes this February. At least 11 Iranians were among those killed in unprecedented Israeli strikes in Syria, a monitor said Saturday.

The United Nations resolutions are based on the following principles: A Palestinian State and an Israeli State based on the 1967 lines; Jerusalem as the capital of both States; an end to the illegal Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories; and the return of Palestinian refugees.

But not until they accept that the Israel they loathe is in the neighborhood to stay.

Following Monday's border clashes Turkey pulled its ambassadors to Israel and the USA and expelled the Israeli ambassador in Ankara.

It may be recalled that both houses of the Parliament have already voiced their position on the United States decision.

Dunia Ghanimah, 20, who lives on the city's North Side, one of the hundreds of protesters who marched Tuesday afternoon, said her 13-year-old cousin was shot by Israel Defense Forces and was critically wounded during protests Monday in the West Bank.

He also urged Hamas not to use protests as cover to plant bombs and "create provocations".

President Trump's December recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital, followed by Monday's relocation of the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, was seen by Mahmoud Abbas, the president of the Palestinian Authority, as a betrayal.
