Battlefield 5 will not have loot boxes, but will have paid cosmetics

In what ended up being the most exciting reveal for Battlefield 5, DICE announced there will be no premium pass.

From what we've seen, it appears that Battlefield V is a more focussed experience compared to the all-encapsulating multiplayer-only game that is Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

Rather than waiting until E3 in a few weeks time, EA made a decision to hold its own separate Battlefield 5 reveal event last night. In Battlefield V, embark on a continuing, grand journey post-launch in the brand new Tides of War, created to make sure the battlefield is constantly evolving with new events, challenges, battles, and rewards that are always within reach - for all Battlefield V owners*.

Operations mode is back as well as War Stories (yes, people love singleplayer, Activision!).

Construction aspects are also being brought into the game.

For example, in an early live service missions, players could find themselves participating in operations which took place in the early days of WW2. This mode lets you and three other players team up online and go behind enemy lines to accomplish a series of objectives.

As far as new modes and gameplay features, the devs are stressing that the battlefield itself will be a major character itself, and the terrain and world around you being destroyed will be taken to a new level.

If this truly means no microtransactions (which, again, they steered clear of actually saying) then this would be a break from what multiplayer games have done in recent years. Deluxe Edition owners will gain early access on October 16, Origin Access and EA Access subscribers will receive a Play First trial on October 11.

New to Battlefield 5 is the Company, your "personalized collection of customized soldiers, weapons, and vehicles that you can tailor and grow as you play". Battlefield Standard Edition price is Rs. 3,500 in India and $60 in the USA while Battlefield V Deluxe Edition price is $80 in the U.S. and Rs. 4,800 in India.
