New Orleans Family Says Goodbye To Son In Unique Way

For Renard's funeral ceremony, the family opted to stage his body as if he were playing his favourite game - NBA2K - while wearing a Boston Celtics shirt and eating Doritos crisps.

Matthews was an 18-year-old resident of New Orleans who was tragically killed in a shooting back on June 26.

Body of dead teen was honored in a very unusual way as his corpse was positioned in a chair facing a television screen with PlayStation pads in his hands and his favourite snacks next to him. So much so, that his family wanted to remember him that way at his wake on Sunday.

Mike D’Antoni not anxious about his turbulent past with Carmelo Anthony
Green originally signed with the Rockets on December 28, 2017 and averaged 12.1 points over the remainder of the season. Anthony expressed to the Thunder at the end of the team's playoff run he would not accept a bench role.

Matthews would usually stay at home and only venture outside to walk the dog, his mother, Temeka Matthews, told WGNO-TV.

The family made a decision to celebrate him in a unique way this past Sunday, surrounding him with his favorite snacks and "playing" NBA2K while wearing the jersey of Kyrie Irving.

Renard Matthews died last month in a shooting with police finding him with gunshot wound to his head.
