As Urban Meyer situation unfolds, here’s what Will Muschamp told his staff

Meyer is accused of knowing in 2015 that Smith was involved in an alleged domestic dispute with his then-wife, Courtney Smith, college football reporter Brett McMurphy wrote on Wednesday.

Meyer's future with one of the most storied programs in college football depends on how he managed allegations that Buckeyes assistant and recruiting coordinator Zach Smith abused his ex-wife, Courtney Smith - answering the questions of what Meyer knew and when.

The crux of what investigators will be looking for is whether Meyer followed proper protocols when and if he received information about allegations regarding Smith.

The Ohio State University announced on Thursday that its Board of Trustees formed a "special independent board working group related to the investigation involving Urban Meyer".

Meyer said he and athletic director Gene Smith agree that being on leave during the inquiry was best for the investigation and the team.

"Well he is a good friend of mine and a good football coach", Whittingham said when asked rather unspecifically about his thoughts on Meyer.

Officers also credit her incredible nose with more than 245 drug-related arrests at two of Colombia's biggest worldwide airports. Colombian police uncovered the threat against the talented canine during an intercepted phone call earlier this month.

She continued, "When somebody is crying out for help, I believe, the coach along with the coach's wife have a duty".

Urban Meyer's days leading the Buckeyes could be numbered.

You can say you would've handled things differently, but that overlooks the larger, much more important, issue.

Smith, who was arrested for aggravated battery on a pregnant victim in 2009 while working for Meyer at Florida, was sacked by Ohio State in July after he was arrested on a criminal trespassing charge. He played for Meyer as a walk-on at Bowling Green, worked for him at Florida and was hired as the wide receivers coach when Meyer came to Ohio State in 2012. The charge was dropped because of insufficient evidence.

After Courtney Smith drove the woman home, a fight with her husband ensued and he allegedly grabbed her by the shirt and threw her. Zach Smith was arrested for aggravated battery. First I heard about that was last night.
