Thibaut Courtois' future at Chelsea has been one of the big talking points of the summer, with the Belgium worldwide having been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid.

Jack Butland has emerged as Chelsea's preferred option to replace Thibaut Courtois if the Belgian leaves Stamford Bridge this summer, according to Sky Sports.

Sarri has already admitted he would not stand in Courtois" way if he wants to leave, adding he only wants players with "high levels of motivation'.

"I have no reaction to the agent, I am not interested", said Sarri after suffering his first competitive loss as Chelsea manager in the 2-0 Community Shield defeat to Manchester City on Sunday. I never said that I want to leave the club.

David Luiz has urged Courtois and Hazard to stay, while insisting the Blues have enough quality even if the pair leave.

Barkley will be hoping to impress Sarri and secure a regular place in the starting line-up, but the 24-year-old also has an ambition to earn a spot back in Gareth Southgate's England squad.
