Why Khloe Kardashian can't breastfeed her baby

Experts are citing the importance of breastfeeding within one hour of birth during the World Breastfeeding Week, celebrated from August 1 to 7 every year, to encourage breastfeeding and improve the health of babies around the world. The celebration provides wonderful opportunity of refreshing knowledge or setting agenda for nursing mothers on breastfeeding for a whole week.

Nerea Ojanga, a midwife and breastfeeding consultant at the Kenyatta National Referral Hospital emphasised that a baby's stomach can not digest anything but breast milk for the first six months, and encouraged working mothers to express milk to sustain breastfeeding.

Breast milk contributes to sensory and cognitive development of the infant and reduces obesity and noncommunicable diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, and some cancers.

Women tend to discontinue exclusive breastfeeding at four months, around the time they have returned to work after a 90-day maternity leave.

The debate of whether breast is best has been going on for years but now the World Health Organisation (WHO) has said that Midwives should check if mums are breastfeeding within an hour of birth.

Trump’s Ex-Advisor Rick Gates Testifies He Committed Crimes With Paul Manafort
Gates is also admitting to carrying out a vast scheme to hide millions of dollars in foreign bank accounts on Manafort's behalf. The contents of those emails - and how Gates interprets them before the court - could help either save or sink Manafort.

They also viewed that malnutrition is responsible, directly or indirectly, for about one thirds of deaths among children under five years old. It also contains antibodies that help the baby fight off infection. "After that, if the baby and mother both mutually chose to continue, breastfeeding can be continued for up to two years of the baby's age", said Dr Asmita Mahajan, SL Raheja Hospital, Mahim.

It also discussed the reasons why children may refuse breastfeeding and ways of tackling them, and how to add complementary food while breastfeeding. Exclusive breastfeeding also helps to bring about bonding of baby and mother and helps delay a new pregnancy.

He explained that most times mother's milk supply may diminish temporarily if the woman failed to feed her baby often because of nipple pain or due to poor latch-on technique. World Health Organization recommends that infants should be exclusively breastfed to meet their evolving nutritional requirements. The HMOs are the third most abundant solid component in human milk after lactose and fat.

"But these are actually signs that the woman's body has adjusted to the baby's feeding requirement". "Apart from the child, breastfeeding has important benefits for the health of mothers", says Dr. Sachin Jain, Consultant Neonaatologist, Columbia Asia Hospital, Gurgaon.

Eregie noted that optimal breastfeeding - 0-6months (baby friendly) and continued breastfeeding, up to eighteen months, (2yrs), helped females keep their hormones in check, allowing for a natural birth control process, as females only get pregnant after they wean (stop breastfeeding) their child which aid maternal longevity and health.
